Rheem’s YF™ Series Commercial heat pump uses R1234yf refrigerant, which has an ultra-low Global Warming Potential (GWP) of <1. Delivering hot water up to 65°C and operating in ambient temperatures down to 0°C, the range achieves a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of up to 4.23 at 20°C ambient. Non-ducted models feature electronically commutated (EC) fans for improved performance and are generally designed for outdoor installation, but may be installed indoors where a sufficient supply of heat energy is available. Models are available in vertical and stackable horizontal discharge configurations.

Owners and Installation Guides
The water heater shall be Rheem commercial heat pump model 953015__ (non-ducted), with a nominal heating output of 15 kW and a COP of 4.23 at 20°C ambient / 60% RH. The water heater shall have a delivery temperature of up to 65°C and be capable of connection to a building hot water return circulation loop. The refrigerant shall be R1234yf with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of <1. The water heater shall conform to AS 3498 and be WaterMark certified. The water heater shall be electrically certified to AS/NZS 60335.1 and AS/NZS 60335.2.40 and carry the Regulatory Compliance Mark (RCM) for EMC. The water heater shall be manufactured with epoxy-coated copper tube/aluminium finned evaporator coils and a marine-grade aluminium casing. The water heater shall provide outputs for connection to a Building Management System (BMS) and incorporate an auxiliary boost control function linked to ambient conditions. The water heater shall incorporate a tank temperature sensor, building flow temperature sensor, water inlet and outlet temperature sensors, discharge refrigerant temperature sensor, high- and low-pressure refrigerant transducers and an evaporator coil sensor with automatic defrost functionality under low ambient temperature conditions. The water heater shall operate in limp mode should the tank temperature sensor become faulty.
