Cyber Security Compliance

Australia's Cyber Security Act 2024 introduced mandatory security requirements for connected smart devices. Under the Cyber Security (Security Standards for Smart Devices) Rules 2025, certain products manufactured from 4 March 2026 onwards must meet specific cybersecurity obligations.

01 Device Password Protection

For products that utilise passwords beyond their factory-default settings, access credentials are either uniquely assigned to each individual device or created and managed by the end user. This requirement applies to the product hardware, embedded software, and any associated mobile application needed to operate the product as intended.

02 Reporting a Security Vulnerability

If you identify a potential security vulnerability or cybersecurity concern relating to one of our connected products, you can submit a report through our designated reporting process. Once received, we will acknowledge your submission and provide updates on the progress of the investigation until the matter has been addressed.

03 Security Update Commitment

Where applicable, we provide cybersecurity updates and patches for eligible products during their nominated support period. These updates may relate to Product hardware, Embedded software or firmware, or Connected applications used to control or monitor the product. Support periods are defined for each product range and may be extended at our discretion.

For each eligible connected product range, we provide a Statement of Compliance outlining adherence to applicable cybersecurity requirements and a defined security support period indicating the timeframe during which security updates will be made available.
