Addendum to Rheem Manufacturing Company Privacy Notice
This Addendum supplements the Rheem Manufacturing Company Privacy Notice (the Privacy Notice ). This Addendum and the Privacy Notice:
- apply if your personal information is held or collected by Rheem Australia Pty Ltd or a related body corporate to the extent it has an Australian link, such as Solahart Industries Pty Ltd (together, Rheem Australia);
- explain how Rheem Manufacturing Company and Rheem Australia (Rheem, we, us, or our) collect, store, use, and disclose your personal information; and
- together constitute Rheem’s Privacy Policy.
To the extent there is any conflict between this Addendum and the Privacy Notice, this Addendum takes precedence.
By providing us with your personal information or using our websites, mobile applications, or services, you consent to your personal information being handled as stated in Rheem’s Privacy Policy. You must not provide us with personal information about another person unless you have the express consent of that person and provide that person with Rheem’s Privacy Policy. Rheem’s Privacy Policy also applies to personal information regarding potential employees and employees (except past and present employee records). Personal information may include your energy metering identifier.

1. How we hold your personal information
We store your personal information in secure cloud servers and on-premises databases in Australia and the United States using industry-standard security and access controls.
2. Access and correction of personal information
You may request access to or correction of your personal information by contacting our Privacy Officer using the details stated in the Privacy Notice. We may need to verify your identity (e.g., by requesting your contact details or product serial number). If we refuse an access or correction request, we will provide you with written reasons for the refusal and information on how to lodge a complaint.
3. Disclosure to overseas recipients
We disclose your personal information only to our related companies and trusted third-party service providers (e.g., contractors, plumbers, or data processors) located in Australia and in other countries, including the United States, India and the Philippines for purposes such as data storage, warranty services, customer support, administration, or advertising related services.
4. Complaints about your personal information
We take your privacy seriously. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact our Chief Privacy Officer using the contact details stated in the Privacy Notice. Provide details of your complaint and any supporting evidence. We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint, investigate it, and notify you of the outcome.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or by calling 1300 363 992.
ECONET TERMS AND CONDITIONS
General terms and conditions applying to the use of EcoNet
The general terms and conditions applying to the use of EcoNet by Australia based users are those set out at rheem.com/legal/#Website-Terms, provided that the following modifications apply:
- the sections titled “Purchase of Products”, “Arbitration Agreement”, and “Waiver of Class Remedies” do not apply;
- any reference to Rheem’s “Privacy Notice” is deemed to refer to this Addendum and the Privacy Notice;
- any reference to “the State of Georgia” is replaced with “New South Wales”; and
- any reference to “the United States” (or substantially similar term) is replaced with “Australia”.
