How do I know if I am eligible to apply for a grant?
If you are an apprentice plumber currently doing an apprenticeship in Australia and are studying at TAFE, university or with a Registered Training Organisation, then you are eligible to apply for the 2019 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants.
Who needs to nominate me?
Apprentices can nominate themselves or their employer can nominate on their behalf.
I entered previously. Can I enter again?
If you applied in previous years but didn’t receive a grant, you are welcome to apply again in 2019. However, apprentices who received a Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant in years 2012 - 2018 inclusive are not eligible to apply for a 2019 grant.
I live very far away from my TAFE facility and won’t be seeing my trainer / assessor before entries close, therefore won’t be able to secure a signature from my TAFE teacher. Can I still enter?
It is a requirement that your teacher/assessor signs the education section of the submission form. There is the option of completing the form online and getting a digital signature from your teacher/assessor. However, if that’s not possible and if you are having genuine difficulties, please detail why and include the contact details of your teacher/assessor so that a Rheem representative can contact them and verify certain details.
If I am employed by a Group Training Organisation but am doing my practical work experience with a host employer, who should complete the employment section?
This section can be completed and signed by either your trainer/assessor at the Group Training Organisation, or your host employer.
