Rheem Commercial - May 2018

Welcome to the May issue of Rheem Commercial, bringing you the very latest Rheem news and case studies relevant to your business. In this issue, we focus on a number of unique Rheem Commercial installations within the high-demand hospitality industry.

We take a look at how a Rheem Commercial Heat Pump installation is prolonging the life of an ageing hot water system at Rydges Esplanade in Cairns – increasing reliability and reducing energy consumption at the same time.

We also go behind the scenes at Australia’s largest luxury hotel, the French-inspired 5-star ICC Sofitel in Sydney, where two Raypak plants are providing over 60,000 litres of hot water an hour in peak periods.

And finally, we offer some insights into how Rheem Commercial is providing failsafe hot water for South Australia’s newest wine bottling facility.

Rheem Heat Pump reduces energy costs of ageing boilers

Set in tropical surrounds, Rydges Esplanade in Cairns, Far North Queensland is a 4-star resort with three pools, tennis courts and a health and fitness centre, all with stunning sea views. But with two ageing gas powered Heatmate boilers and rapidly increasing energy bills, it was time to find a new, more efficient water heating solution.

As the country’s largest wine-producing state, demand for bottling services has increased in recent years, and the innovative company recently commissioned a new production base specialising in bottling wine for niche markets.
